Hello HUE! Elevate your formal living room with color.

Welcome to a Punch of color.

The living room draws visitors into the room with the use of a bold lime green, chartreuse, navy, and turquoise palette. A radial seating plan encourages lively conversations but also provides a cozy place to curl up with a book.

Why not make your “formal” living room fun? We can create an elevated ambiance by introducing pops of color in a tastefully decorated room. The radial layout in this 15’ x 13’ living room is perfect for an intimate gathering or even a quick game of cards.  The client asked us to do whatever we thought would be nice, and to do it fast, because she was hosting an event at her house within a few weeks. All the furniture and art in this room was sourced from a local clearance store; the rest of the items, such as the accessories, pillows, window treatments were sourced from several home stores, and the hand-made area rug was sourced from a local boutique shop. We were able to pull off the tight time frame by getting creative with what was available, and not compromising the integrity of the design, thanks to an awesome client who is flexible and trusts our vision. See the dining room and family room next.

The hand-made wool area rug plays a key role in the design by providing a luxury platform for the furniture and is truly a work of art in itself. Since we were on a time crunch, the draperies were sourced off the rack and modified by a seamstress, adding another layer to the design. Do you love those floral arrangements on the marble top console table? We made those ourselves! A successful design relies heavily on the details and we pride ourselves on our attention to all the details. See more photos below.

While this was a quick design wake up call, we maintained a high standard when selecting and sourcing the furniture and accessories. The shagreen table top is exquisite and unique making this cocktail table a focal point in the room. Another trick of the trade is to mix metals to create a couture space; notice the different brass finishes work seamlessly with the brushed nickel accents of the wall art frames and decorative items. A well-balanced design will always make a space feel welcoming and warm. See more photos below.

We love waking up sleeping rooms! Below is a gallery of photos including the “before” picture of this room which will surely blow your socks off.
